Construction has officially begun on a new 412-room hotel, the Sofitel Dublin Airport, which will be directly connected to Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport and is expected to open in late 2026.
Developed by the Arora Group, the €100m project was awarded through a competitive bidding process by Dublin Airport’s operator, DAA, and marks Arora’s first hotel development outside of the UK.
The hotel will offer a variety of amenities, including an all-day dining restaurant, a tea salon, a sky bar with panoramic views, an executive lounge, a fitness center, and multiple meeting and event spaces.
DAA’s CEO, Kenny Jacobs shared: “We are fully focused on improving standards and options for passengers at Dublin Airport and a world-class hotel that’s directly linked into Terminal 2 is great news for them. It’s also good news for local suppliers and for jobs, with the hotel set to create hundreds of new jobs during both the construction phase and when it opens.”
