Diageo won Best Global award at the Menopause Excellence Awards in Dublin for implementing supportive measures such as flexi-time, adjusted uniforms, and desk fans to assist female staff experiencing menopause symptoms.
The company was commended for its efforts to normalize the conversation around menopause, recognizing it as a significant stage in women’s lives.
As part of its global ‘Thriving Through Menopause Guidelines’, Diageo has appointed and trained two menopause champions in Ireland to raise awareness and provide resources for affected employees and their managers.
Additional support measures include comfortable uniforms, easy access to cold water and washroom facilities, and flexible working hours for medical appointments, aligning with Diageo’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace.
