Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines have celebrated the merger of Air India and Vistara, part of a strategic transformation initiative called ‘Vihaan.AI’ aimed at revitalizing the airline group.

The merged Air India Group now boasts a fleet of 300 aircraft operating across 55 domestic and 48 international destinations, launching a total of 8,300 flights weekly.

The partnership enhances global connectivity, allowing access to over 800 destinations through a vast network of codeshare and interline agreements, reinforcing Air India’s status in Indian aviation.

With Singapore Airlines maintaining a 25.1pc stake, the merger facilitates the expansion of codeshare agreements, paving the way for mutual growth in one of the aviation world’s fastest-growing markets.
