The MSC Opera has launched MSC Cruises’ winter season in the Canary Islands and Madeira, featuring seven-night cruises from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, marking MSC’s return to the region after a hiatus.

The week-long cruise itinerary includes visits to popular destinations such as Arrecife de Lanzarote and Puerto del Rosario, along with a full day of cruising in the Atlantic Ocean, following the cancellation of the winter season in the Red Sea due to security issues.

After completing its deployment in the Canary Islands, the MSC Opera will transition to the Eastern Mediterranean, offering an 11-night repositioning cruise to Venice, then a series of week-long cruises exploring Greece, Italy, Croatia, and Montenegro.

MSC Cruises plans to enhance its offerings for the 2025-26 season with the introduction of the larger MSC Musica, which will replace the MSC Opera and provide increased cruise capacity in the region, while also expanding operations into the South American market with five ships.
