‘Don’t sell with your wallet’ was the key advice at Worldchoice conference 2024 from Royal Caribbean country manager Jennifer Callister
During a panel discussion on the conference theme of the power of consistency, Ms Callister was aksed by moderator Eoghan Corry about the dilemma of selling that very first cruise. She told delegates:
I think it’s just taking that leap of faith and doing it once, and then you’ll see the rewards come in. Somebody said to me years ago, “Don’t sell with your own wallet,” which I think is really, really good advice.
It’s telling people that when you’re giving them the price of that—whether it’s land-based or cruise—don’t be afraid to say it. You’d be surprised that a lot of people will say, “Okay, that’s okay.” Not everybody, but don’t sell your own wallet.
