AJet, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, has received a significant capital increase of TRY15bn (€400m) to support its growth strategies.

The regulatory disclosure states that this funding aims to bolster AJet’s operations as it resumes its partnership with SunExpress, following a past collaboration when it operated under the AnadoluJet brand.

This funding comes amidst AJet’s efforts to decrease its reliance on ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services and pursue more independent operations.

As Turkish Airlines continues to support AJet’s expansion plans, the move signals a commitment to enhance competitiveness and operational capabilities in the airline industry.
