Dublin’s Henry Street/Mary Street Christmas Market celebrates 75th anniversary

Dublin’s Henry Street/Mary Street Christmas Market is returning for its 75th anniversary, with new stalls, a community hub, and on-street entertainment. 

The market will be open from November 24th to December 24th, with the official launch on December 7th.

The market first began in 1949. Some of the new ideas that visitors will see for 2024:

  • New market stalls & flags
  • A community hub showcasing some of the local community groups work
  • A webpage on dublincity.ie 
  • A Santa Grotto on December 14th and 15th in aid of Childline/ISPCC
  • 2fm broadcasting live on 6th December 
  • On street entertainment during the market
  • A coffee trailer
