Irish Ferries is to switch their emergency Isle of Innisfree Dublin to Fishguard service to Pembroke from January 7, in anticipation of the reopening of the Dubin-Holyhead Ulysses service on January 16.
The service aims to accommodate passenger cars and freight disrupted by the closure of Holyhead. Isle of Innisfree has 40pc less lane capacity than Ulysses but carrries almost as many passengers.
The James Joyce continues to serve Rosslare to Pembroke.
