British Airways and American Airlines are adjusting their flight schedules for the summer of 2025 due to delays and challenges related to the Boeing B787 aircraft, particularly affecting engine availability from Rolls-Royce.

British Airways recently announced it is suspending its London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi route while also cutting flights to Kuwait and Dallas/Fort Worth, and reducing its Miami service frequency due to ongoing supply chain and engine repair issues.

American Airlines is postponing its Chicago to Paris route launch and suspending Miami to Paris flights, while also reducing daily flights to Buenos Aires, citing B787 delivery delays.

Both airlines reiterated their commitment to maintaining service quality and managing operational challenges while working closely with Rolls-Royce to find timely solutions to the engine supply problems.
