AIDA Cruises will cancel all visits to Santorini during the summer season of 2025 for the AIDAblu, following new measures aimed at limiting cruise tourism in Greece.
Instead of Santorini, the AIDAblu will visit Rhodes and Kos, with seven-night cruises departing from Corfu to Greece and Turkey from May to October 2025.
The ship’s revised schedule includes visits to Kusadasi, Piraeus, and Souda, while specific cruises on May 3, May 31, September 20, and October 18, will include Rhodes in place of Santorini.
Other cruise lines, including Costa Cruises and Princess Cruises, have also removed Santorini from their itineraries due to the Greek government’s plans to introduce a tax aimed at combating over-tourism, announced in September 2024.
