AmaWaterways has appointed Catherine Powell as its new president, effective todayFebruary 17, 2025, bringing rich experience from her roles at Disney and Airbnb.
Powell will collaborate with co-founders Rudi Schreiner and Kristin Karst to drive the company’s growth and maintain its focus on luxury river cruising and guest satisfaction.
In her statement, Powell expressed excitement about aligning her values of innovation and sustainability with AmaWaterways’ mission to create exceptional travel experiences.
Kristin Karst will continue as co-owner and chief brand ambassador, emphasizing the importance of global partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with travel trade partners in promoting AmaWaterways.
