Royal Caribbean International announced that its next Icon Class ship will be named Legend of the Seas, with a scheduled debut in the Western Mediterranean in July 2026.

After its summer season in Europe, Legend of the Seas will reposition to the Caribbean, launching six- and eight-night cruises from Port Everglades starting in November 2026, with itineraries including visits to Aruba, Jamaica, and Curaçao.

The maiden season will feature seven-night rotations commencing in July from Barcelona to France, Italy, and Spain, alongside multiple visits to Royal Caribbean’s private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The ship is under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard, and will host attractions like Crown’s Edge and Category 6 waterpark, as well as environmentally friendly initiatives, including an LNG-powered propulsion system, adding to the legacy of the Icon Class, which already includes the Icon of the Seas and the upcoming Star of the Seas.
