The Port of Cork has submitted plans, to An Bord Pleanála for the Ringaskiddy Port redevelopment.

The project is projected to create 849 jobs during the construction phase and will also generate indirect employment.

Key components of the redevelopment include the Cork Container Berth 2 and Deepwater Berth Extension, addressing operational limitations in Tivoli and City Quays.

The long-term goal is to relocate all port activities from the Upper Harbour by 2050, enhancing the port’s capacity and supporting economic growth in the region.
