Ruby Hotels is launching its first property in Denmark, converting an office building in Frederiksberg district.

The hotel will feature a ground floor winter garden and a rooftop terrace with city views.

The opening is planned for the first quarter of 2027, expanding Ruby’s presence in Northern Europe.

Last year, Ruby Hotels announced a property on Kungsholmen island in Stockholm, with 187 rooms in a converted office space.

IHG acquired Ruby Hotels for €110.5 million, aiming to grow its portfolio from 20 to over 120 hotels in the next decade.

Elena Günther-Jakobs, associate director for Central and Northern Europe at the Ruby Group, shared: “Copenhagen has always been a top priority for us, and we’re thrilled to finally make our market entry in Denmark. The city’s dynamic atmosphere, with its rich art scene, lively culture, and renowned gastronomy, makes it a perfect fit for our target group.

“We are excited to continue our successful partnership with ECE and to bring our unique hospitality offering to this thriving and growing market.”
