G Hotel and Spa has submitted a planning application to convert a retail unit in the Wellpark Retail Centre into more hotel space.
The hotel, situated in front of the retail park along Dublin Road, proposed the plans to Galway City Council on May 15.
The application seeks a change of use of an existing retail unit to create ten additional bedrooms and ancillary areas on the first floor
Material alterations are also planned for the existing hotel at ground, first, and second floors
A decision from Galway City Council regarding the application is expected by July 19.
