Approximately 300 hotel delegates gathered at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise for the IHF People Day Conference.

The event focused on career development, staff retention, inclusivity, and leadership within the hotel sector as part of the IHF’s Shaping Brighter Futures programme.

Expert speakers included Lucy Adams, Stefan Wissenbach, Dr Áine O’Dea, Peter Cosgrave, and Mark Kelly, who shared insights on innovative HR strategies and workplace culture.

IHF President Michael Magner shared: “At the heart of every great hotel and guesthouse is our people – the many thousands of individuals who choose a career in our sector” and “we have an exceptional line up of expert speakers, alongside panels of our peers to share their insights into how we can create a culture of inclusiveness, personal growth and innovation.”
