Manchester Airport has opened new check-in desks and a state-of-the-art security hall, which currently features five operational lanes, as it progresses Terminal 2’s expansion.
The new security facility is designed to enhance passenger efficiency, allowing for the possibility of keeping electronic devices in hand luggage, although standard security preparation is still advised.
The timing of the security hall’s opening coincides with the May half-term holiday when over onem travellers are expected to use the airport.
Future plans include the completion of Terminal 2’s final phase with the introduction of The Avenue shopping area and an additional pier for boarding.
Chris Woodroofe shared, “Seeing the first passengers go into the new security hall is very exciting for everyone here.’
