Hilton has restored the Hotel del Coronado, originally opened in 1888 and located on a beachfront site across from San Diego Bay.
The restoration included significant work on the last 19th century building, encompassing the lobby, front porch, guest rooms, and event spaces.
Two new dining venues are now part of the hotel: Nobu Del Coronado and the Veranda restaurant, which recalls the original long walkway.
The hotel contains the second-largest wooden structure in the U.S. and has appeared in multiple films, including the classic Some Like it Hot.
Rob Harper shared, “Blackstone has been dedicated to preserving Hotel del Coronado’s iconic status as a National Historic Landmark while ensuring it remains a timeless destination for future generations.”
