Riyadh Air plans to launch in late 2025, targeting two European cities as its first destinations and adding two a month to expand to every capital city airport in Europe, including Dublin.

Tony Douglas mentioned that the airline expects to add two new routes each month, starting with major metros in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

The airline will begin operations with a single B787-9 for certification and training, while other aircraft ordered from Boeing remain undelivered.

By the end of 2030, Riyadh Air anticipates serving every capital city in Europe and aims to build a presence in the Gulf region and the US East Coast.

The airline aims to serve selected long-haul markets through partnerships, such as with Singapore Airlines, before its fleet expands.

Tony Douglas CEO shared: “In the early stage of building our network, we’re more likely to put on a thick route into Singapore Changi. We’ll add two new routes per month. Riyadh Air plans to serve every capital city in Europe, in addition to large capitals in the Far East and Central Asia. The company has already concluded strategic cooperation MoUs with several carriers.”
