Royal Caribbean has taken possession of Costa Maya Cruise Port, after finalising legal and financial transactions. The development of Perfect Day Mahahual is set to commence, with plans for various attractions, including a large water park and shopping areas.
Over $600m will be invested by Royal Caribbean in the project, which spans more than 200 acres. The transformation is expected to take two years while the port remains open to vessels from other cruise lines.
Perfect Day Mexico is projected to be ready for guests by Fall 2027, featuring record-breaking experiences.
Jay Schneider shared, “We are now administrators of the port and have begun working on the development of Perfect Day Mahahual.”
