Virtuoso group report that luxury travel sales have increased significantly, with cruise sales up 9.3pc during the first half of 2025 compared to 2024. The trend in luxury travel is shifting toward shorter trips, with 54.2pc lasting seven days or less.

Second-half cruise sales are showing a 15.9pc rise over the previous year, according to Virtuoso, who say that 30pc of U.S. luxury travelers plan to go on a cruise within the next year, based on survey data.

Future cruise bookings exceeding $50,000 have risen by 43pc compared to last year.

Virtuoso shared “cruise sales were up 9.3pc during the first half of 2025 and 30pc of the luxury travelers from the U.S. plan to cruise within the next year. Future cruise sales one to two years out that exceed $50,000 per booking were up 43pc compared to the same time last year.
