
Pre-tax profits at the Leonardo chain decreased by 84pc to €2.29m, despite revenues rising by 13pc from €53.48m to €60.5m.
The opening of the NYX hotel at Portobello in Dublin in December 2023 contributed to increased revenues for the Irish arm of the Israeli owned Fattal group which now owns six hotels.
Operating profits fell by €3m to €10.39m, with finance expenses rising from €8.67m to €11.06m. The company recorded a post-tax profit of €2.08m after incurring a corporation tax charge of €213,000.
Staff numbers increased from 495 to 542 last year, and staff costs rose from €13.72m to €17m.

The company shared “The renaming of hotels from Jurys to Leonardo in 2022 brought to an end an association between the Jurys name and Irish hotels that dates back to 1839. With the opening of the Portobello hotel, numbers employed increased from 495 to 542 last year.”
