Star of the Seas commences inaugural season from Port Canaveral

Star of the Seas has completed the first cruises of its inaugural season for Royal Caribbean International operating weeklong cruises Port Canaveral.

The maiden voyage included stops in the Western Caribbean, visiting destinations such as Isla de Roatán, Cozumel, and Costa Maya, along with Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The ship will offer regular sailings to the Eastern Caribbean, including stops in St. Maarten and St. Thomas, as well as Royal’s private island CocoCay.

The Star of the Seas, built in Finland, was delivered to Royal Caribbean on 10 July 2025 and has a capacity of 5,610 guests.

The ship was named on 20 August, with Kellie Gerardi serving as godmother after Diana Ross stepped down from the role.
