Cork’s €100m Events Centre, first revealed in 2016, faces further delays due to a new tendering process.

Cork City Council will issue a public information notice to flag future procurement opportunities for the project. The sod-turning ceremony in 2016 involved key figures like Taoiseach Enda Kenny and BAM Ireland’s CEO.

The re-tendering decision was shared with councillors to advance the long-delayed project.

The Events Centre aims to enhance Cork’s entertainment and cultural offerings.
