Riviera Travel is to host the first river cruise ship dedicated entirely to solo travellers on board the George Eliot, starting in June 2027.

The ship will sail seven-night itineraries on the Danube, Rhine, and Moselle, including “The Blue Danube for Solo Travelers” and “Rhine Cruise to Switzerland for Solo Travelers.”

Each traveller gets a private double cabin, with 83pc featuring a French balcony, and no single supplement applies.

Amenities include communal spaces, a welcome dinner, cocktail reception, daily entertainment, and all-inclusive pricing covering excursions, meals, and drinks.

Cruises will feature a dedicated cruise director, hotel manager, and daily excursions led by local guides.
