Spain’s Imserso scheme for seniors began reservations on October 6 in nine regions, expanding nationwide by October 8, offering 879,213 spots for coastal, island, and city breaks at fixed low rates. New features include a €50 flat fee for low-income pensioners and pet-friendly options on select trips.
Coastal peninsular packages start at €224 without transport, with 440,284 spots available. The programme supports €305,75 nature escapes and pressures hotels amid delays.
Demand remains high, with over 2.8m eligible participants expected to drive domestic tourism.
