The former Viking Sun is to return to Europe in 2026 after four years in China as Zhao Shang Yi Dun.
The cruises target Chinese guests with all-Chinese service, signage, and Mandarin provision from August to year-end. It will offer itineraries of eight to 13 days cover Western and Eastern Mediterranean from Venice, Civitavecchia, Barcelona, Athens, Istanbul.
Visits include France, Monaco, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia plus Italy, Spain, Greece and Türkiye. The vessel operates under China Merchants Viking Cruises joint venture flying Chinese flag with 930 guests.
