Sun&Blue alliance has been launched in Madrid to protect Spanish coastlines. The initiative allocated €50m over three years for erosion and overtourism projects.
Plans included solar-powered marinas in Andalusia and reef restoration in Valencia. Backers expected the programme to create 2,000 jobs by 2027. Pilot schemes will start next spring in selected resorts.
