Global cargo tonne-kilometres increased 4.1pc in October 2025 compared to October 2024. International operations grew 4.8pc with capacity up 6.4pc. 

African airlines achieved the strongest rise at 16.6pc. The cargo load factor stood at 47.1pc, down 0.5 percentage points. Europe-Asia recorded 11.7pc growth while Asia-North America declined 1.4pc.

Willie Walsh shared: “Air cargo demand grew 4.1pc year-on-year in October, marking the eighth consecutive month of expansion and setting a new monthly record for volumes. This positive news is especially significant as the air cargo sector enters the peak fourth quarter shipping season.”
