David Goddard’s Lanthorn acquired the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel from Jerry O’Reilly for up to €32m.
The acquisition formed part of a sale of two properties handled by JLL and dubbed Project Abbey. TMR Hotel Collection, owned by Thomas Roggla, took ownership of the 118-bedroom hotel. The deal included an adjacent multi-storey car park with 725 spaces.
The hotel maintained strong trading performance with turnover edging 2pc higher to almost €8.7m in 2024.
