Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambition has cancelled additional ports on its Norway Northern Lights cruise due to strong winds. Calls at Ålesund and Stavanger were dropped, with the ship staying overnight in Molde before sailing to Bergen and then directly to Bristol. Earlier storms forced five itinerary revisions.
The ship departed Bristol on 16 October 2026. The captain kept the ship alongside in Molde overnight because berthing and departing safely presented too much of a challenge. The revised schedule has the ship departing Molde at 23:00 on 28 October, arriving in Bergen at approximately 18:00 on 29 October and staying alongside overnight.
The ship spends 30 October ashore in Bergen before departing directly for England. The vessel is at sea from 31 October to 1 November and arrives at Bristol Royal Portbury on 2 November as originally planned. Ambassador Cruise Line issued an apology to guests.
