Belfast reveals traffic and travel plans for the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann

Organisers revealed extensive measures for the All Ireland Fleadh expected to attract 800,000 visitors from Sunday 2 August to Sunday 9 August 2026. Belfast city centre will be pedestrianised with three dedicated Park and Ride sites at Eikon Exhibition Centre, Giant’s Park and Belfast Harbour. Pre booking opens on Monday 6 July with parking at £10 per day. 

A free shuttle bus service operates from the Park and Ride locations to central points. Additional public transport capacity is in place on Translink services with signage and volunteers to assist visitors. Official campsites at Titanic Quarter, Ormeau Park and Falls Park lie close to bus routes.

The plans encourage use of public transport to reduce congestion and support a safe festival atmosphere during the event.
