Cara Group Travel is a Boston-based travel operator specialisng in custom group itineraries and has established its primary office in Ireland at Weavers Court in Belfast. Founded in 2012 by County Mayo native Sara Stanton, the company focuses on designing large-scale transatlantic group travel experiences.

The firm’s decision to establish permanent roots in Belfast stems from its deep connection to major transatlantic collegiate sporting events. The agency has been an integral logistics partner and title sponsor for the Friendship Four, an annual NCAA men’s college ice hockey tournament hosted at Belfast’s SSE Arena. Building on that momentum, the group is also driving the logistics for the NI Collegiate Invitational, a major NCAA international championship golf tournament scheduled to take place at Galgorm Castle in Ballymena.

The Belfast office is managed day-to-day by Lynsey Lamont, an industry professional with an extensive airline background at Emirates and Aer Lingus. Due to an uptick in American academic, corporate and leisure groups heading to Ireland, the company has since expanded its ground support network with an additional office in Galway. The Weavers Court office allows their team to be on the ground to manage complex logistics, handle high-volume check-ins and conduct strict quality checks on local excursions across Ireland.
