Luxury villa operator Haute Retreats has reported that the average festive season booking for 2026 now exceeds 10 nights, up from 9 nights last year. 60pc of its Caribbean properties for the holiday period were already confirmed by late June, with most reservations made 6 to 8 months in advance. Demand is particularly strong in Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic.
In recent years the traditional 7-night minimum has largely shifted to 10-to-14-night minimum stays across top-tier Caribbean villa markets. Ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families secure prime properties 9 to 12 months in advance, with inventory in high-demand islands like St. Barth and Turks & Caicos tightening earliest.
Caribbean luxury villa stays are stretching longer for the upcoming festive season, with high-end travellers increasingly booking extended getaways. Industry data shows that premier properties across the region are enforcing strict 7 to 14 night minimum stays over the Christmas and New Year period.
Standard booking architectures for high-end properties now mandate 10 to 14 night minimums during peak weeks, pricing prime holiday slots upward of $11,000 to $24,000 per night. Multigenerational travellers are gravitating toward sprawling, fully staffed estates like ÀNI Dominican Republic or Coral House in Turks and Caicos.
These estates bundle private chefs, butlers, wellness treatments and airport transfers directly into the weekly rate. The primary booking window peaks between August and October. Travel experts suggest planning 12 to 18 months in advance for elite Caribbean destinations. By November, availability is largely restricted to inventory from guest cancellations.
Different islands cater to distinct holiday vibes. St. Barts offers high-glamour harbour spectacles, luxury yachts and exclusive late-night New Year’s parties. Anguilla offers secluded, ultra-private countdowns paired with pristine beaches and polished dining. Turks and Caicos offers family-focused celebrations featuring beachside bonfires and calm ocean shallows. Antigua offers tropical escapes complete with local street parties, steel drum bands and private infinity pools.
