Casana, Brazil’s beach resort and kitesurfing destination on the shores of Praia do Preá in northeastern Brazil, has announced a global partnership. Founded in 2019 by Brazilian-Swedish couple Natalia and Jimmy Furland with seven bungalows and personalised service, Casana has become a favourite among adventurous travellers. The Furlands now bring this same spirit to Ilha do Caju, one of the world’s largest privately-owned islands spanning 10,000 hectares across five natural environments in the Parnaíba River Delta in the state of Maranhão.

Opening in June 2027, the private island is exclusively available as a whole-property buyout accommodating up to 16 guests across three bungalows within a natural environment of mangroves, dunes, salt flats and freshwater lagoons. The island is located in the Parnaíba River Delta.

The partnership expands the Casana brand to include the private island offering.
