Cork on a Fork Fest, running from 12-16 August, will transform Cork City’s iconic spaces into settings for food, with over 150 events. Unique dining venues will include St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, the Goldie Chapel at Nano Nagle Place, Elizabeth Fort, and the Counting House, the former Beamish & Crawford site. The festival extends beyond restaurants to churches, heritage buildings, arts venues, markets, gardens and streets.
St Fin Barre’s Cathedral will host The Cathedral Supper on Thursday 13 August with Michelin-starred chefs Lewis Barker of Terre and Paul McDonald of Bastion. The Goldie Chapel at Nano Nagle Place will host a collaboration between Michelin-starred chef Rob Krawczyk of Chestnut, Bib Gourmand chef Aishling Moore of Goldie and Eric Nolan of Good Day Deli. St Peter’s will host SUPRA, a Georgian shared-table feast with L’Atitude 51 and chefs from Poliphonia Restaurant in Tbilisi.
Almost 500 guests will sit at one long table on MacCurtain Street for the VQ Shared Table. Pembroke Street will host its own shared feast for 108 diners. Bishop Lucey Park will become the SuperValu Family Zone. The festival celebrates the farmers, fishers, growers, makers, chefs, producers and hospitality teams who give Cork its distinctive flavour.
