- Queen Mary 2 has entered drydock on 31 March 2027 at Damen Brest

Cunard has selected Damen Shiprepair to carry out extensive upgrades on the Queen Mary 2 at its Brest shipyard in spring 2027. The ship enters drydock on 31 March 2027 and has returned to service on 9 May 2027.
The refurbishment programme wil introduce new suites and inside cabins. Cunard has confirmed that 31 new staterooms are planned across the ship including 16 new Cunard Princess Grill Suites.
Every existing Grill Suite will be refreshed with new interiors, updated furnishings and finishes, and newly designed bathrooms have been introduced across all Grill Suite categories. The remaining 15 new staterooms have been in the Britannia category. The Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants will also be refreshed and additional outdoor deck space has been added.
For guests with pets, kennels wlil be redesigned and their capacity has increased, with the owners’ lounge refurbished and outdoor walking area expanded. Mareel Wellness & Beauty will transition and guests can shop at new luxury stores. The cultural and entertainment offering will be refreshed with Illuminations receiving a digital upgrade to deliver more experiences at the largest planetarium at sea.
