Dublin-based lessor, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has signed a lease agreement with AJet for ten incremental B737-8s. The brand-new aircraft deliver in 2026 and 2027. AJet operates ten in-house B737-8s and seven more on Turkish Airlines’ AOC.
The deal supports AJet’s growth as a low-cost carrier subsidiary of Turkish Airlines. Türkiye recorded 5.7 per cent increase in flight movements in the first half of 2025.
Separately, DAE completed the delivery of ten Boeing 737-9 aircraft to United Airlines on 26 November 2025, bolstering the carrier’s narrowbody fleet with fuel-efficient MAX variants.
This handover marked a key milestone in United’s ongoing modernisation efforts, enhancing operational efficiency across its domestic and regional networks. DAE’s role as a major lessor underscored the robust demand for sustainable aviation solutions amid rising passenger volumes.
Firoz Tarapore shared “we are delighted to be chosen by long-time customer Turkish Airlines to provide them a solution to AJet’s growing fleet requirements with these new technology, fuel efficient aircraft.”
