DiscoverIreland.ie has rounded up six atmospheric Irish stays and experiences where fans of The Traitors Ireland can stage their own castle escape, with the show currently airing on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player. The selection includes stays at The Lodge at Ashford Castle in County Mayo, where guests can meet the estate’s resident Irish wolfhounds and join a morning walk around the 350-acre grounds on Lough Corrib. The estate offers falconry, archery, golf and boat trips among the activities available, with the picturesque village of Cong and the Wild Atlantic Way within easy reach.

Kilkea Castle Estate & Golf Club in County Kildare, less than an hour from Dublin, offers more than 800 years of history across 180 acres of woodland and gardens, with falconry, equestrian experiences and genealogy experiences available. Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort sits on a private island just outside Waterford City, creating a suitably secluded setting for a getaway in Ireland’s Ancient East, with the Viking history and museu millions of Waterford accessible from the mainland. Huntington Castle in Clonegal, County Carlow, dating from 1625, offers guided tours through the historic castle and below ground into its dungeons, which now house the Temple of Isis.

Kinnitty Castle Hotel in County Offaly, tucked into the foothills of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, combines historic castle drama with wild landscapes of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, offering castle tours, archery and the Dungeon Bar. Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa in County Roscommon offers the chance to slow down and switch off, with spa facilities, estate grounds and a base for discovering more of Roscommon and the wider region. The six locations provide atmospheric settings for gatherings inspired by the plotting and intrigue of The Traitors Ireland, now in its second series.

Cam Wallace, Qantas International CEO, shared: “It also comes at a significant moment for us. From October next year we’ll fly Sydney to London non-stop for the first time.
