Dublin Airport and Ireland West take home four prizes in global awards


Two Irish airports have walked away with four prizes in a global awards ceremony which recognise excellence in airport travel and retail digital campaigns and communications.
Dublin Airport has been named the world’s best for Twitter Feed, Best Use of Instagram and Best Use of Social Media. Ireland West won the Judges’ Special Recognition Award and was highly commended for Best Use of Paid Media at this year’s Moodie Davitt Awards, known as the Moodies.

The awards were judged from 173 shortlisted entries across 22 categories, generated via a mix of self-nomination, reader feedback and judges’ selections. The awards cover digital, mobile and social media activities across airports and travel retail overall, plus airport retail and food & beverage.
The judges, announcing the Twitter category, said Dublin Airport “consistently delivers superb levels of interaction and engagement”.
Dublin Airport – a previous winner in the awards – said it was “proud” of being named again this year, while Knock Airport was “thrilled” with its two prizes.
