Dun Laoghaire Golf Club prepares to host 2027 Women’s Irish Open

Dun Laoghaire Golf Club hosts the 2027 KPMG Women’s Irish Open from 2–8 August 2027.
The club features a 27-hole championship layout designed by Martin Hawtree.
The event marks the first time the Ladies European Tour event is held on the South Dublin coast.
The venue succeeds the successful 2026 hosting at the K Club and aims to draw record crowds due to proximity to Dublin.
The club previously hosted the Curtis Cup in 2016.

Even as the cheering died down for the K Club 2026, Dun Laoghaire Golf Club in County Dublin has ramped up its preparations as the venue for the 2027 KPMG Women’s Irish Open. The event will be held at the Ballyman Glen location on the South Dublin and Wicklow border from 2–8 August 2027. The club features a 27-hole championship layout designed by architect Martin Hawtree and previously hosted the prestigious Curtis Cup in 2016. This marks the first time the Ladies European Tour event will be held on the South Dublin coast.

The relocation from The K Club, which hosted the 2026 edition, is part of a strategic effort to draw record crowds due to its close proximity to Dublin city and the wider commuter belt. The move is expected to increase spectator footfall and accessibility for international visitors. The 2027 event comes at a time of growing momentum for women’s golf in Ireland, with the 2026 tournament delivering a major boost to regional tourism and international visibility.

The 2027 KPMG Women’s Irish Open will continue the partnership with KPMG as the title sponsor, building on the success of the 2026 tournament. The Ladies European Tour event is a key fixture in the international women’s golf calendar and attracts top players from Europe, North America, and Asia. Dun Laoghaire Golf Club’s championship layout is expected to provide a challenging and visually stunning setting for the tournament, with the course featuring elevated views of Dublin Bay. The 2027 dates of 2–8 August offer a prime slot in the summer golf calendar, providing a strategic buildup to other major events in the season.
