Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown released more details of Coastival to run 4 July to 12

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown released more details of Coastival to run 4 July to 12 July 2026. The nine-day festival features family days, storytelling, arts events and water-based activities. Cathaoirleach Cllr Barry Saul officially launched the event.

Emergency Services Day takes place on Saturday 4 July at St Michael’s Pier. Coastival Family Fun Day happens on Saturday 11 July at dlr LexIcon Library while Atmosphere Family Day with kite displays occurs on Sunday 12 July at Newtownsmith. A Sensory Bus supports neurodivergent children and families.

The festival celebrates maritime heritage and community along the coast.

Councillor Barry Saul shared “Coastival is a wonderful celebration of Dún Laoghaire, bringing together our maritime heritage and the dynamic cultural life that continues to thrive here today.”
