Friday 19 March is dedicated exclusively to trade with the Cycle Tourism Forum offering vertical training, case studies and industry presentations. The Cycle Tourism Workshop provides a structured agenda of one-to-one appointments with international buyers. A new B2B digital platform supports communication and matching between operators before and during the event. The 2027 edition introduces four dedicated exhibition zones covering road cycling, mountain biking, gravel and cycling events.

During the show, the second edition of the Cycle Tourism Index produced by Bikenomist and Komoot will be presented. Based on aggregated 2026 cycling activity data from Komoot’s 50m users across 14 European countries, the Index measures the attractiveness of European regions for foreign cycle tourists. The 2026 edition revealed that Mediterranean and Alpine territories dominate the overall ranking, with Istria in Croatia leading with a score of 71.12, followed by Illes Balears and the Croatian Adriatic coast. The annual report Travelling by Bike by Isnart-Unioncamere estimated 49m cycle tourism overnight stays in Italy in 2025, generating an economic value of €6.4bn.

Pinar Pinzuti shared “Last year 268 exhibitors from 20 countries came to Padua, and that tells us something: cycle tourism is no longer a niche, it is an established segment of the tourism industry, with real economic weight. Our vision is that every country, not just the usual few, can become a cycling holiday destination. You don’t need the Alps or a famous coastline. You need the will to invest, safe routes and people who know how to welcome cyclists.”
