An Garda Síochána have reassured passengers that normal operations will continue at Dublin Airport at all times, however those intending to travel through the airport on Saturday morning or early afternoon should allow extra time to arrive. The advice is due to possible additional security patrols in the vicinity of the airport as well as expected temporary restrictions and rolling road closures along the M50. Gardaí stated that the highest impact of Saturday’s restrictions in Dublin will be from 8am to 9am and again from 12 noon to 1pm.

Perimeter roads to Dublin Airport including the R108, R132 and Old Airport Road are subject to traffic restrictions at various times until after President Trump’s departure from Dublin early on Saturday afternoon. People are being warned there will be no parking on the Old Airport Road or any of the perimeter roads to Dublin Airport on Saturday. Officials stated that the Old Airport Road will be one way traffic only on Saturday travelling east towards R132 Swords Road from 5am, while the South Runway viewpoint The Mound will remain open for pedestrians only.

Temporary traffic restrictions are expected to be in place on the M50 on Saturday to facilitate security motorcycle escorts. The highest impact of these restrictions will be 8am to 9am and from 12 noon to 1pm between Junction 3 and Junction 6. People can also expect additional rolling road closures to facilitate security escorts on the M50 and in the area around the Phoenix Park throughout Saturday morning.
