A new survey has revealed that over half of Irish parents let children influence holiday destination choices.
The research by Multitrip.com found 53pc of Irish holidaymakers with children say kids influence or choose destinations. Gen Z parents showed the highest influence rate at 77pc while 65pc of parents of children under 18 let them decide. Fifteenpc of parents reported a hospital visit during a holiday and 26pc needed a GP.
Only 36pc of parents with children under 18 check that travel insurance covers the youngest family members. The survey highlights the need for adequate family cover including cancellation, baggage and medical expenses. Multitrip.com offers policies where kids go free on annual premier plus options.
