Chantalle Wymbs, Harvey’s Point wins national IHF employee of the year award

Chantalle Wymbs received the IHF National Employee of the Year award at the Annual Conference in Killarney.

The award recognised her outstanding contribution at Harvey’s Point in Donegal where she worked as Chef de Partie. Minister Peter Burke presented the award and praised her work ethic, leadership, and talent. Chantalle completed a culinary course in Killybegs after switching from an art and design degree.

She served as the hotel’s allergen champion and sought stages with award-winning chefs to improve her skills.

Peter Burke shared “Hearty congratulations Chantalle on this national recognition of your outstanding contribution to the superb offering at Harvey’s Point. People represent the authentic and human face of the sector, and the impact of your work ethic, leadership and talent, and that of your fellow awardees, is rightly being celebrated here tonight. You are a champion of quality, taking pride in your craft, and an inspiration to your peers, well done on your award.”

Michael Magner shared “I am delighted to present Chantalle with the IHF National Employee of the Year award. Her warmth, creative approach and passion for elevating the customer’s experience is truly admirable. Across the country, hotel and guesthouse teams go above and beyond to create memorable experiences for guests showcasing the best of what makes Irish hospitality so great.”

Aisling Arnold shared “On behalf of all our members in Donegal, I would like to congratulate Chantalle on winning this amazing award. Chantalle is a fantastic ambassador for our hotels sector. Her innovation, dedication and leadership inspire her team and consistently elevate the guest experience.
