Iconic London hotel Dukes set to reopen in mid 2027

The historic Dukes London hotel at 35 St James’s Place is undergoing a major renovation and is scheduled to reopen in the second quarter of 2027 as Dukes London, Minor Reserve Collection. Managed by Minor Hotels, the 85 room property is being redesigned by Russell Sage Studio and will feature 13 executive suites and five signature suites inspired by former guests.

The famous Dukes Bar remained open during works while a new lounge and bar called the Delany Drawing Room will offer 160 whiskies, champagne, cocktails and afternoon tea in an orangery and garden setting. The property closed its doors for an extensive multi-year transformation in January 2025. The hotel will relaunch with 85 keys featuring 13 executive suites and five signature suites. Dukes Bar has remained fully open to patrons throughout the ongoing hotel renovations. Upon reopening the property will debut a new restaurant partnered with The Wolseley Hospitality Group.

The Delany Drawing Room will offer a curated selection of 160 whiskies, champagnes and afternoon tea paired with an outdoor conservatory and a secluded garden.
