A new coffee table book highlights the range of Ireland’s quirkiest and most historic hotels in the Hidden Ireland collection.
Launched in The Little Museum of Dublin, the book, ‘Hidden Ireland – Discover Ireland’s most beautiful houses’, features 30 houses from Frewin in Co Donegal to Sallyport House in Co Kerry.
Justin Green, chairman of Hidden Ireland and properietor of Ballyvolane House in Co Cork, said period homes are a tough sell in a culture of uniformity where every hotel has to have room numbers.
The owners of the hotels – many with just four or five guest bedrooms – have diversified, with some producing gin or beer on-site. Full details can be found here.
