Organisers have hosted the JRNY America Awards 2025 at London Science Gallery on Thursday night where Louisiana has taken the State of the Year title. Over 100 guests attended the event including representatives from Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Louisiana Office of Tourism, New Orleans & Company, Visit Mississippi, Visit San Antonio, Meet Boston and Discover New England. New Orleans has secured the Best Food City award while San Antonio and Tucson reached the shortlist with Tucson claiming silver.
The Amtrak Mardi Gras Service, a joint project between New Orleans, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, received the Best New Tourism Initiative award. This completed a Deep South hat-trick at the ceremony. Tennessee section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park gained a nomination for Best Outdoor Region, Boston for Best City and San Antonio for Accessible Destination of the Year. The TTM team and clients celebrated validation of their work over the preceding 12 months.
Louisiana representatives collected awards on the night. Diana Hernandez from New Orleans & Company collected the Best Food City trophy.
