Kilkea Castle has offered Halloween and autumn experiences at the historic fortress and estate in County Kildare. The castle has dated to 1180 and has been one of Ireland’s oldest inhabited castles with legends attached. The property has reported three friendly spirits: The Wizard Earl, the Woman in White and a young girl who wanders the grounds.

The Quest and Rest Package has been available all year round and has included a night stay in the castle, one of the luxury carriage rooms or lodges and the chance to try one of the escape room experiences. The package has been priced from €297 double occupancy and has included complimentary breakfast, access to the Thermal Suites, fitness facility and tennis courts. The 180-acre estate has offered archery, air-rifle shooting, falconry, fishing, golf, horseback riding and the Irish Wolfhound Experience.

The property has provided a variety of dining options along with the luxury spa, thermal suites and vintage-style games building. Kilkea Castle has aimed to attract visitors seeking unique places to stay, historic castle hotels and experiences for Halloween or autumn travel.
